NWO (Dutch Research Council) has approved our Roadmap upgrade proposal “Proteomics InfrastruCTure UpgRadE (PICTURE).” The grant provides €3.5 million to the Netherlands Proteomics Centre (NPC) at the Faculty of Science, Utrecht University, to upgrade next-generation mass spectrometry, expand AI-driven innovation, and support research in antibody sequencing, antigen discovery, and cellular signalling.

It was a joint effort of Albert Heck, Pavel Sinitcyn, Fabio Marino, and Kelly Stecker, with Celine Miedema supporting the process as research program manager.

The NPC has been embedded in the Faculty of Science for 25 years and has been a prime driver of proteomics research in the Netherlands and Europe. This support lets us sustain and strengthen our leading role in proteomics and keep serving the life sciences community.
